Are the rumors really true? Is Nicki Minaj really retiring from music? It has been reported that a tweet was sent by Minaj saying “I’ve decided to retire and have my family.” I’m sure that Barbz All Over the World were absolutely devastated and ready to Pound the Alarm when they became aware of the shocking news. The tweet was eventually deleted followed by an apology for such an “abrupt & insensitive” announcement. However, fans are still left with the looming question; Is this a gimmick or hoax? “No Shade” but maybe this is a good time to gracefully bow out for some time as tour ticket & album sales are down. Nicki Minaj is at a level where as an artist your craft has to come 1st by any means necessary. Sometimes you have to figure out what your priorities are and make difficult sacrifices to accomplish new life goals. I find it commendable when someone feels like it’s time to refocus their energy and put personal life and/or family first. I can completely see how one may be inclined to take a step back from the music industry workload, drama, scrutiny, ect to raise a family. Seriously, who would want to voluntarily subject their child & family unit to the craziness & negativity that comes with the limelight?! Don’t You Worry Bout a Thing Barbz, I’m sure that the love is still there and soon enough we’ll see a tweet saying “I Ain’t Thru” followed by Romans Revenge pt2.
