BRITs Critics’ Choice winner Jorja Smith is set to perform at next month’s ceremony with Rag’N’Bone Man, who received the same award last year.
Broadcast live on ITV, the awards show returns to the O2 Arena in London for its 38th edition on February 21. Last year saw performances from Little Mix and Katy Perry with the late David Bowie honoured with two awards.
Jorja Smith has already performed a duet with Stormzy on the live ITV nominations launch in the lead-up to the main event, alongside J Hus, Liam Payne, Clean Bandit and Paloma Faith.
Smith said: “I can’t believe I’ll be performing at the BRIT awards. Rag’N’Bone Man has had an incredible year and is such a crazy talent. When he asked me at the end of last year to perform I was so happy as it’s a real honour to be sharing the stage with him.”
BRITs chairman & CEO and chairman of Sony Music UK & Ireland, Jason Iley, said: “It will be an amazing moment from two incredible artists: One artist who has achieved huge success last year performing with another artist who is about to do the same this year. Jorja’s performance on the launch show was simply stunning and I cannot wait to see her perform with Rag’N’Bone Man on the main show.”
Other performers this year include Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Sam Smith and Foo Fighters.
Rag’n’Bone Man will also be performing at a weeklong run of one-off shows taking place in the run-up to this year’s event for War Child BRITs Week, featuring performances by Wolf Alice and Jessie Ware.
