A warm welcome to Bermuda and all visitors to the island, as an exhilarating Old School event featuring music from the 1970s and 1980s is scheduled to occur. This gathering is intended to generate funds for Victor Blyden, a former DJ and entrepreneur who is currently experiencing health challenges. DJ Cavon and Malcolm ‘Lethal Weapon’ are collaborating with Victor Blyden, also known as DJ Slick Vic, to organize this significant event, which is crucial for Victor to obtain the urgent surgery he needs.
Both Malcolm and I will not benefit financially from this event; all proceeds will be directed to Victor. Those familiar with Bermuda’s local DJ community, especially long-standing members like Malcolm and myself, can attest to the substantial impact Victor has had on our community by introducing high-quality vinyl records during a time when music downloads were not an option.
We owe a great deal to Victor for equipping us with the resources that have been instrumental in our successes today.

Only veteran DJs will truly remember those days, as he was the sole black-owned business providing the latest hits on vinyl at that time. Malcolm and I want to express our gratitude and support for a brother in need of surgery. We are not profiting from this event in any way, and we hope that Bermuda will rally together to assist a local legend who played a vital role in introducing R&B and many old school jams to our island. This event is open to all locals and visitors, as well as all of my social media followers.
