When one club door closes, another opens. The legendary Space Ibiza shuttered its doors in 2016, but Club Space in Miami is poised to fill that gaping hole in ravers’ hearts. A long-time staple in the Miami scene — and our Top 100 list — Club Space is under brand new ownership this year, and it’s starting to feel a lot more like the Ibiza outpost we all knew and loved, than the somewhat menacing Miami haunt it was turning into. Space’s new parents are a trio of locals who have been passionately upping Miami’s underground game for years. Davide Danese, Coloma Kaboomsky and David Sinopoli are talent-booking, party-throwing mavericks who are familiar with driving the world’s greatest underground and indie acts to South Florida.
Just six months into their tenure, they’ve already brought that to Space, with everyone from Jamie Jones and Richie Hawtin to Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Luciano, tINI and scores more. Plus, there’s yoga on the clean dancefloor on Saturdays, a brand new, state-of-the-art soundsystem immerses the club’s legendary terrace in body-shaking bass, and the venue has received a subtle, earthy makeover to soften the heavy 24-hour-beats.
